It's only a matter of time before Microsoft quits supporting XP.

OK, so I got a new laptop with that Windows 7 drivel pre-installed last week, and I am not surprised it's terrible. My friend was right when he stated that this operating system is just a glorified Vista, and seeing how much I didn't like Vista (especially concerning the 64-bit junk), there's nothing promising about 7. The only good thing about Windows 7 (same going for Vista) is the visuals, but I get enough hard-ons for Windows XP, even if it is a 6-year-old operating system.
All those T.V. actors that starred in lame commercials supporting sales for this hunk of junk are seriously just acting or are total numbskulls, thinking it's "simpler" to use. Really? Are you fucking kidding me? Getting a laundry list of error messages when you try to unzip programs made for running on previous operating systems or when you try to save new files to a folder originally created in Windows XP is "simpler"? Whoever first thought of this term to describe Windows 7's "usefulness" must have seriously been on crack, because I actually find Windows 98 to be MUCH simpler - and that's saying a LOT. And even if something that old is completely slow, it's "simpler" than Windows 7 because I don't get any complicated error messages. I am pissed. I am in the process of downgrading that laptop to Windows XP, but it won't be easy. And, I don't give a flying fuck what anyone thinks of the negativity displayed all over this post. This is just how I feel about your "simpler" system. Fuck you, Microsoft. Most of my hatred is geared towards 64-bit, but had it been at least 32-bit, then maybe I would've backed down a tad. But no; that bullshit had to happen to me. I don't recommend Windows 7 anyway. Why should it be recommended, anyway? Just because it's 'new'? Windows ME was new at the time it was officially released, but that doesn't mean it's a great operating system. Just saying. To this day, I still remain loyal to Windows XP, as it's the only one of all the other Windows that I had the least problems with. It's probably just me, Sicksinz, and Skully in this thread who are not very much impressed with 7. --------------------
