Well I just got the darndest most negative thing to say about this horrible horrible website..


Just kidding, I really do like that website, layout is simple and pleasing to the eyes.

I checked out your review section, are you gonna keep it like that? As in just review after review just bumping eachother down?

Or in the near future will you actually list each game..err...Let me make an example I'm horrid at explaining things:

1. I click reviews
2. Pick out a letter from "A B C D etc etc"
3. Say I click F and all games starting with F will be shown alphabetically

Thank you for your kind comment and suggestion. Yes I entirely agree with you about organizing our reviews with an alphabetical navigation menu. Throughout time we'll do all we can to organize our content and make the site easier to use. You're welcome to release your game on there as well; let me know when you're ready.

So we at MegaGaming are going to take steps to go beyond the average spread the word via forum advertising, we're going to add our blog to as many blog directories as we can. Recently we got submitted to BlogCatalog, and you can view our entry here.

Personally...I think you guys need more posts.
I don't see new posts there very often.
It's technically a Blog site...So, you guys should be posting stuff daily. Not twice a week...
Or once a week, or whatever. 5 days a week. At least 5 posts per day.
New stuff daily is what keeps the hits coming.
Not new stuff every week. Then you'll get people coming there once in a while...
As opposed to...If you have new posts everyday...People will check on it...Every day(b/c they KNOW there will be something new)...

Also. Some of the Navigation is a bit tricky and unclear...
The site does have quite a bit to offer...But it's not displayed properly, imo.

I hope you're all happy.

Blaming the community for your site not doing well isn't going to make anybody go there more often than they do now...
It will actually take them AWAY from the site...

But you know what? I keep adding stuff to it. I keep updating it. I keep plugging it.

We were posting stuff daily for 2 weeks straight, but we've decided that we truly aren't going anywhere with our current concept. MegaGaming will no longer be about game creation, but just for blogging. Forums are also offline until we get more content through.

The thing is, I'm just not very good with managing web sites, and I've finally learned to realize that the majority of people don't care about RPG Maker anymore. It's no use to have a site devoted to a cult-status subject.

Penny Arcade was once a piece of shit niche comic. Now the two guys make a solid living off their enterprise and they have their own annual convention. Or is it bi-annual now? Point is, hard work and patience will never fail.

Actually, I didn't mean that everyone don't care about RPG Maker anymore, it's just most people in forums/communities these days.

For example, (in my opinion, this does not involve MegaGaming in any way) GamingWorld used to be such a wonderful site constantly filled with rich-content daily, when they had a mainsite with numerous sections to choose from, but now it's just a wasteland that's waiting for the plug to be pulled. And with that, we can't really find a way to get motivated to continue making updates for RPG Maker stuff.

Yes, it is quite enjoyable to mess around and talk to people about it, but think: people have moved on, and even if you love it to death, it's eventually going to make you lose interest on something that's hardly cared for. That is what happened with a site me and NES previously had before launching MegaGaming, and unfortunately, that disease is also present on our current site. We were so excited to work on that site, but we just had to trash it after losing interest and motivation. Not to mention that making a web site is nothing more than a fun hobby, unless you get paid, then there's really no use to act like it's a real job.

It is only natural that we simplify things and just move on to more interesting things. Or better yet, just quit.

But if you're that willing to give up and quit, then what you thought was a passion of yours was nothing more than a fad.

And, that's also my point with the whole RPG Maker thing.
RM will always be around. There will always be people using it. Will always be a newbie to the scene.
The difference between the people who actually stick around and the people who fall off is...
The people who are truly passionate about it will ALWAYS be around(even if a hiatus is called and they come back a few months later).
The people who are not so much...RM is nothing more than a fad to them.

And if you think the shortcomings of GW have made a negative impact on the scene as a whole...
It's your duty(if you are truly passionate, anyway) to bring the community back together.
Don't let it just die.

This could also be applied to not just you guys and your site, but to anyone who wants to keep the fire alive...

Oh, no! It's not really mainly about the fad. I like to like what I want to like, but sometimes I just lose interest keeping the spirit of something not often supported by others, so it clearly gives no point if not that many people are affected highly by this. You probably can with ProNet, and I congratulate you on your part.

I haven't given up on using RPG Maker, I just don't feel convinced to bring it to the site anymore.
