So what is Metin2 Hollow?
A private and small invitation based online game on the MMO metin 2. Players of the game will be granted special abilities not open to them in the original game, such as summoning monsters and 'polymorph' at any time. They will also be able to teleport amongst other things.

This is how we are going to handle the in game registration process. Because we want this to be a VIP server, and with the lack of an automated website (Like on UK) we feel the best way for you to register is by sending a private message to either the Game Admins (me or krf23) or to HollowMaster. We will add your character to the database and will be ready for you to play at the longest time of 24hrs. Send your chosen Registration ID, Password and Storage Bank and make it clear which word has capital and small letters.



What if I want more than one account?

Do the same as you would if you were registering your first account. There's no limit to how many you can have, but remember that each account has to be made by an admin.

I forgot my account details and there's no way I can get them back!

We will email them to you. We will have records of all of your passwords.

I forgot my storekeeper password!

This will be harder to resolve because you can change it easily in game. We advise you to stick with the password you send us. If it needs changing, send the Admins a new store password update. You can still change it in game yourself, just make sure to tell the admins. If it comes to the point where neither side know the storage password, you must allow the Administrator a full day, maybe more, to search it for you.

I want to delete a character

Notify the game admin. Clearly state which character. To prevent deletion by people who do not own the account, please state your username and password on the private message.


Where is the Item shop?

It is integrated within the forum. The more you post, the more money you get. You can spend your Hollow Points on vouchers for items in game. Once you've bought your voucher, send it to a GA and they will give you the item in game.

What we need:

-A server (not nessicary but required if you want to play the game 24/7

Its expected the project will be ready to test out in 2 weeks time, earliest. We just need to setup the MYSQL when Blastile gets it, so she can start to setup the accounts on there and all the features.

We are talking about server (as in the private server) hosting not the web hosting. And I don't require admin permissions I only require that I can see ALL of the categories and forums.

And why are you being such a shit head recently? Are you trying to antagonize me to flame/rage you so I can get banned? Just because I don't bring any RPG Maker/IGM stuff dose not mean that I can't be a member. Or are you still mad that I ratted you out on you stupid plan?

Hollow is planned to be 100% free, unlike most servers where you must buy 'Coins' or points to be able to get premium items. At MT2H, you get these points by posting actively on the forums, winning competitions, and helping out. Spaces are strictly limited, so if you receive an offer to join, feel grateful to accept it (you don't have to though, it'll just go to someone else.) If you wish to be part of the test stage, this is a final chance to register at the forums. Anyone who registers after 31st October will not be able to play until the exact week when the server is declared open.

Due to the player number limitations, there is no need for a website at the moment. In game accounts will be made by the Game administrators. I feel this is a much safer way, and prevents any banned players from re-entering registration processes. And to clone, in case of problems with the BSD based files, I have a set of Linux files as spares. I don't know as much about linux (still learning it) but you certainly know a ton more than I could ever learn.

I do not yet have a Server open date. I'll be doing a local server test first which will take me a week.

But since it's completely free as you claim, what the overall intent of this project? Will there be revenue from forum ads? Is it something to put on your resume that'll set you apart from the wannabes? Or strictly recreational fun?

I do have the linux files as well. I am completely clueless as to how to use them, having worked on a windows for 10+ years. If they'll make your job even easier, then that will be fantastic.

As for the costs, I do not want to make money from this game ( although I could if I wanted to). Years of playing online games that were 'free' and finding out that they have implemented pay-only features made me determined to keep this 100% free.

The player limit is to lessen the stress on my computer. It is not a large industrial server and cannot handle too many players online at once. I'd rather have a game with less players and less disconnection and lag, than a game with lots of players in an inaccessible environment. If you aren't much active, you won't get kicked. Nobody has to post on the forum if they don't want to (although you do have to register to make an account) just like in other games- you don't have to buy mall points to get those shop items. They're just there for people who like to be rewarded or get the most out of the game if they choose to play longterm. Any number of people can join the forums. It's just in-game accounts that are limited.

If that were to happen, I personally wouldn't accept the money. The reason being it is far more required for the server hosting costs. (Am I enticing any certain people here? )
