Yeah, this is a great program. People say it's dying out, but I'm sure there'll always be a dedicated fanbase... no matter how small!

BOOOOHOOOOHOOOO. WAAAAAAAAAH. Huh I know man true dat. sad.gifsad.gifsad.gif
Well, *sniff*, if you want to *sniff*, download, *sniff*, then make atleast 3 total *sniff*, posts or more. *sniff*
Be back in a *sniff* bit, going to whine about being sad 'n' shit like that. sad.gif

I mean, dayum, RM2k3 is like the coolest program ever, but some people just aren't worthy or deserving enough of owning it, man...sad.gifI deserved it because I participated in communities instead of just taking resources.

Another thing that makes me sooooooo very sad: topics like this with infested replies of 3-post noobs. Waaaaaaaaah. sad.gif

wow thats a little cruel no wonder he never posted again....no offense to you of course
why would people stop at 3 dls theres so much more here than that
anyway this and 2000 has to be my favorite since they remind me so much of the old final fantasy games with their battle style.
i dont see why it would be dying out
it should be growing as its freeware now isn't it?

2k3 has alot of good qualities, it's eventing system is unique. But since there are no scripts, you are limited to what you can do in this program. As for grahpics and audio, it was quite mediocre. Anyways, thanks for the download, and BOOOOOOOOO at the people who don't take the DAMN TIME TO POST AND CONTRIBUTE. tongue.gif

Personally, I'm starting to see the benefits of having a community where I can go to for resources and questions. Hence why I got an avatar going.

On topic, RPGMaker2k3 has been my maker of choice since... 2003 tongue.gifBut I'm really hurting for a good tactical RPG maker. Sim RPG 95 is limited though, and TRPGE is a mess (and forces me to run a "japanese" computer....).
Can't wait til NRG Tactical Game Maker is finished.

I have been messing around in 2003 for a few weeks now, and am finding it really enjoyable.

Even with zero computer programming knowledge the eventing system seems pretty strait forward, plus the nostalgia factor is high.

Now if I could only figure out how to have rolling switches in my events.

What's a "rolling switch"? I might be able to help. Lots of 2k3 experience here.
Nothing to show for it though. blink.gif

Well I am looking for a way to cycle through all 4 event pages without using multiple switches, there might be a better name for it.

Using a variable would probably work better than switches.

Grammar is important. Remove the capital letters and commas from the sentence: "I helped my friend, Jack, off his horse", and you will see.

Yeah I still have to figure out variables... what I want is to have an NPC with 4 different things to say and for the event pages to "roll over" in order.

Guess I better go read the variable tutorial
