Welcome to the RPG Crisis Community Forums

Hello there traveler!

They call me Norman the Expressionless and I was instructed to seek you out, the wanderer. You must be something special for them to hire me and come find out. I wonder what makes you so special; perhaps you have some super power and are destined to save the universe! Just kidding, they told me to find you because you have nice hair and they want to harvest it to create the perfect hair.

So yeah, you should totally join this fine community they’ve established here. Heck, if you need even more reasons I suppose I can list off a few of the perks.
  • Gain complete access to our Download, Tutorial/Script and Resource Databases.
  • Be a part of an ever expanding community and create your own legacy!
  • Get support for a wide range of maker programs, were experts on them all.
  • Discover your true purpose in life, maybe even become one with the force.
  • Make new friends, allies and enemies.
  • Participate in thoughtful, intelligent conversations aimed at expanding your mind.
  • Request translations for foreign maker related sites, games, scripts and tutorials.
I could keep listing all the awesome benefits and perks but why not discover them for yourself?

Content Incoming

Throughout the week I'll be uploading a whole bunch of content with the goal of getting everything that was previously available on RPG Crisis available once again.

RPG Crisis Arcade

I've been asked many times about the possiblity of getting an arcade on RPG Crisis. I decided that for this update I'd go ahead and install one so everyone will have something else to do while visiting RPG Crisis. At the moment I've installed 8 games for everyone to check out. I'll be installing more periodically as I find ones that look interesting. As this is a new addition to RPG Crisis we'll see how it works out and make any changes needed as time goes on. Feel free to check out http://www.ibpdownloads.com/ and recommended some other games to be installed.

Character Maker Pro Uploaded

I've uploaded the latest build of my translation for Character Maker Pro! It's got a ton of changes since my last build and is the last build before I finalize my translation. With that being said I'm hoping to get some members to download it and give it a go and see if I missed anything or mistranslated anything. Anyone that helps BETA test will get their name in the credits section which basically means you'll be come internet famous, you're welcome.

Here's the download link, let me know what you think!

Simulation RPG Maker 95 Updated

Awhile back while I was enjoying my daily viewing of Kate Upton, Dyhalto contacted me and asked for my help in resolving a font issue with Simulation RPG Maker 95. After hours (really minutes) of looking through the code I fixed the problem and promptly forgot about it. It wasin't until Dyhalto contacted me a week ago that I remembered. So yeah, I've uploaded a fresh new installer for Simulation RPG Maker 95 with the font patch included and uploaded the sample game "Kikumaru's Adventure" with the font patch already applied. Below are the links, click whatever one you need.

Megaman has been working on getting both 3D RPG Editor and Tactical RPG Editor to work on anything above Windows XP. Well good news everyone, he's found a way to get them to work. Currently they both work perfectly fine on Windows 7 64bit but he needs someone to help him test to see if they work on 32bit versions of Windows Vista or Windows 7. If you're still running a 32bit version of either of lose let Megaman know. The sooner he get someone to help him test this, the sooner everyone gets the patch!

#709 Renai Maker 2 Early Translation Build Screenshots

Finished all the dialogs, menus and text strings! All that's left now is HEX editing which is, in my opinion the worst part.

Here's some more screens from my most recent build.

Translated Game Settings Page.

Character Profile Settings. You have no idea how long it took just to translate the white blocky text.

#596 Renai Maker 2 Early Translation Build Screenshots

Posted Elemental Crisis on 29 October 2012 - 03:50 AM

Awhile back I promised I'd upload some screenshots from my Renai Maker 2 translation and seeing how I've recently made some major progress I decided to follow through on my promise. Keep in mind that all of these screenshots are from an early build and will most likely be changed multiple times until they are finalized. So with that said, here's everyone's first look at a somewhat English version of Renai Maker 2.

Sometime soon I'll be looking for people to help me beta test my translation. More information on that at a later date.

The built-in Character Generator

My genius creation, be jealous.

Hey look! An event editor structured much like RPG Maker's event editor.

That's all for now, once I get some more work done I'll post a few more pics.

More than 3 years ago RPG Crisis was a thriving community of like-minded individuals, until the Era of e-Drama unfolded in the summer of 2009. It has cost Elemental Crisis lots of active members, forcing them to retreat to less hostile and more active communities.

Fast forward to 2012, and what remains of RPG Crisis is but a ghost town of the last remaining members who have given up completely. You, the lurker, will take one glance at the place and then step right out due to sheer boredom and the hopelessness of the community.

Only time will tell if RPG Crisis will ever return to its more blossoming days.

#418 What are you currently watching?

Posted OrionPrime on 27 July 2012 - 12:51 PM

I finally got around to watching my Game of Thrones Blu-ray set. It's good stuff. I was also thinking about picking up season 1 of Breaking Bad since my mates recommended it, so there's that.

Hello,

Sadly that translation has been cursed with bad luck since I posted that message. From random corruptions of AppEdit.exe to loss builds due to HDD crashes. The good news is that I've been slowly working on a new translation build! I don't have any timetable for it yet but I know I'll need BETA testers and if you'd like, you can help BETA test it.

#243 Your First Experience With RPG Maker

Posted Elemental Crisis on 14 June 2012 - 11:17 AM

Back when PS1 was still popular, I purchased RPG Maker for the PS1 and created about half a game using it. If you never used a console based maker, you're lucky. There was no keyboard so you had to scroll through each letter when writing sentences. I wanted to see what other people had done with RPG Maker so I did a generic search for RPG Maker and found myself at Don's old RPG Maker site. I was amazed to learn there was a computer version of RPG Maker called RPG Maker 95 so I downloaded it but didn't really use it. I don't remember if Don had released his translation of RPG Maker 2000, if he had then I didn't know about it just yet. It was a couple months later and a friend of mine was talking about this RPG making program he had downloaded. I asked him if it was RPG Maker 95 and soon learned that a newer, better version of RPG Maker was out called RPG Maker 2000. I ended up downloading it when I got home and started learning how to use and the rest is history.
