Welcome to the RPG Crisis Community Forums

Hello there traveler!

They call me Norman the Expressionless and I was instructed to seek you out, the wanderer. You must be something special for them to hire me and come find out. I wonder what makes you so special; perhaps you have some super power and are destined to save the universe! Just kidding, they told me to find you because you have nice hair and they want to harvest it to create the perfect hair.

So yeah, you should totally join this fine community they’ve established here. Heck, if you need even more reasons I suppose I can list off a few of the perks.
  • Gain complete access to our Download, Tutorial/Script and Resource Databases.
  • Be a part of an ever expanding community and create your own legacy!
  • Get support for a wide range of maker programs, were experts on them all.
  • Discover your true purpose in life, maybe even become one with the force.
  • Make new friends, allies and enemies.
  • Participate in thoughtful, intelligent conversations aimed at expanding your mind.
  • Request translations for foreign maker related sites, games, scripts and tutorials.
I could keep listing all the awesome benefits and perks but why not discover them for yourself?

So what type of PC do you have?  What do you mainly use your PC for?

Mine that I built myself:  All in all, cost me about £916 all in all... the harddrives (other than the solid state) was carried over from my previous PC which is now in a new home.  The graphics card was the most expensive thing in this.  Would've preferred an Intel+Nvidia build but at the moment, happy with what I have... plays pretty much all games on ultrahigh settings and will do for a year or two.

Main Purpose: Gaming, Internet, multimedia
OS:  Windows 7 Professional 64bit.
Case: Bitfenix Shinobi Black (with white mesh and logo)
Mobo: Asrock 970 Extreme 3
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965
GPU: Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6950 2Gb
PSU: Thermaltake ToughPower 575w
RAM: 16Gib (4x4) G.Skill RipjawsX 1600Mhz CAS-9
ODD: Samsung BH-123L BD-ROM
HDD1: Crucial 64GB Solid State Drive (used as boot drive for Windows)
HDD2: Seagate Barracuda 1.5TB (used as Data drive for docs, music, vids, etc...)
HDD3: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB (used as program drive for programs and games)
Mouse: Gigabyte GM-M6800 Optical Mouse
Keyboard: Microsoft Sidewinder X4
Gamepad: Microsoft Xbox-360 Controller

This seems like one of those "bragging" topics lol.

I don't even have that great of specs on my computer and I'm totally fine with it.  I play Skyrim and whatnot and I'm happy.

Main Purpose: Internet, obtaining things for free on the internet, massive music library, occasional programming, RPG Maker, and a splash of gaming
            OS:  Windows 7 Home 64-bit
            Case: Generic eMachines case
            Mobo: Generic eMachines mobo
CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 235e 2.70 GHz
GPU: Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 4350 512MB (which I've now had for 2 years... ugh)
            PSU: Generic eMachines PSU
RAM: 6GB of whatever eMachines put in there
ODD: It's a DVD burner that gets the job done
HDD1: 750GB drive that it came with
HDD2: 1.5TB Western Digital MyBook Essential (external)
Mouse: Logitech M515 (which I don't like) because my old Logitech G7 wireless gaming mouse is now useless Just upgraded to a Razer DeathAdder. Great for heavy web surfing AND moderate gaming.
Keyboard: It says "eMachines" on it and it's a keyboard...
Gamepad: Microsoft Xbox-360 Controller, an old Microsoft SideWinder that looks like a boomerang shaped Sega Genesis controller, a couple off-brand PlayStation style controllers, and a low end Logitech one which I can't remember the model, most of these reserved for emulator play. I also have the Mortal Kombat arcade fightstick for Xbox 360, which works perfectly for things like MAME.
            Monitor: LG "Flatron" 24-inch OLED

It should be fairly obvious that I'm running a cheap off-the-shelf junker. I've never been much of a PC gamer in the past, but I'm currently paying off a wee bit of credit card debt (hey, it's under $1,000 so I don't feel bad about it), after which I will likely run that debt right back up with a big gaming rig a-la-carte purchase. Let's just say that, with what I have right now, I can play Diablo III at medium, Tribes: Ascend at absolute tweak-the-ini-settings low, and Oblivion and Fallout 3 at max settings plus some mods and tweaks. Most of the PC gaming I do currently involves indie bundles, Steam sales, and GOG.com sales. This PC has been more than adequate for everything else I do, actually.
