Hello Everyone,

As I sit here and attempt to type this, I really don't know what to say. It took me an hour just to get something written on here and actually keep it. I've often wondered about this day and how I would handle it. I guess I could say I had already been prepared for this day, had been for some time it seems. Everything has to come to an end at some point, its the natural order of things. So its with a mix of sorrow and relief that I announce the following.

On January 18th, 2012, I, Elemental Crisis have decided to close down RPG Crisis.

It's strange, writing something so short and simple about something I put years into. But that's how it goes. Now for the explanation on why I've chosen to do this. As many of you know and were able to see these past 6 months, RPG Crisis had, for all intensive purposes died. I no longer had the time and to be truthful the interest in running it anymore yet I didn't want to close it's doors. Looking back, I made a mistake when I decided to attempt any sort of revival, I should of let the site fade away slowly into memory. But I just couldn't do it, to me, RPG Crisis was more than just a website about a particular hobby. It was a place I called home, a meeting ground where friendships were made and lost and where I had some of the most interesting and stupid conversations I've ever had. There's a lot of you that I'm sure can say the same thing. Everyone knows how hard it is to create a recognizable site on the internet. It amazes me, even to this day at how big and popular RPG Crisis became simply because I never intended it to grow this big. I originally just wanted to create a site to host my RPG Maker 2000 projects, how times have changed.

To all the longtime users who stuck with us throughout the site changes, thank you. I only kept doing this because of you guys and girls as I lost the majority of my interest in the maker series a long, long time ago. To all the new members who recently joined us, allow me to apologize to you. You unfortunately were unable to be apart of this site when it shined, something I regret.

To all the past and present staff members, this place is as much of yours as it is mine. There was no way I could ever run this place by myself and was lucky to have been apart of team with some very awesome people. It was thanks to you guys and girls that I was able to run this place, again thank you.

At this time I really don't know what I'm going to do with the RPG Crisis domain, I will say this though, if Version 2 ever gets finished, RPG Crisis and I will be back. I put WAY too much work into Version 2 to not do anything with it if it ever is finished. I have been meaning to start up a blog so we'll see.
