Also set region and language options all to japanese
I can get the editor to run in win 7, but the game engine always crashes when it loads a map, I get a japanese error, something about d3dim.dll, probably the backward incompatibility bs of vista and win7
So its better to use windows XP

Technically, 3D RPG Editor doesint work on Vista and up. While some people have got it to work the majority of us who've tried are unable to replicate what they did or how they got it to work. I've spent hours working on this problem but there no solution at the moment.

it appears you can only be able you get games to work in windows 7, the editor is still defuct and seems the only way to fully use it it through virtual machine
