      I've tried to follow the tutorial for the character transformation. I did a "test battle", and it basically works (the one character transforms into the other character). However, when I start the actual game, everything freezes (I can't move around my character, the other characters don't move, etc.). When I've got rid of everything related to the transformation event, things are normal again. What am I doing wrong?

        This may or may not be a factor in your problem mvgaea, but if you have any events set as Auto Run, there's a good chance that is what is making your characters freeze.
