Unfortunately, it was all in the form of capital letters in big bold red font.

For some, this place was just a general gathering forum. For others, a place to leech off our shit.
But I honestly think the majority of the RM scene is dead or dying. I, personally, have moved onto coding, music, and graphic design. Much more practical, although I might pursue a design or coding role in game dev later on in life.
Well, I might pursue RM later on. More likely not. I have a game idea floating around somewhere which I need to get off the ground.
Thanks for the ride.
You can hit me up on msn (joshm_1195@hotmail.com), the Ask section of my blog which I check every day or so (http://joshmerriman.tumblr.com/ask), or my twitter (@joshmerriman). I also have a new music site (http://drycell.bandcamp.com/) if you're into any of it.
Well, that's me. My final post, give or take a response or two. Have fun. I might check out RPGM.net later on, see if RMing (or the community) still intrigues me.
Oh yeah, megaman didn't do shit for the community, I agree. Adding some programs didn't do much for the community as such, more for our visitors that come and leave.
die pls

we get viewers just noone interacting on the forums which i could care less about
Its a lot harder for us(well me) because we are actually translating these programs rather than just supporting them. Tts bad enough dealing with the horrid frustration of dealing with the obscure languages these fuckers are compiled in (I miss C++/delphi compiling ) but the fact is we have to support them and think about other translations after that and being the "Classy" translator I am I like to give my translations a professional appearance with 1)The editor 2)help file 3) sample game, that alone takes time then i have to think of support and resources and seeing that we are dealing with obscure makers that have a community that is mainly Japanese (there are some french ones but not as hearty as i wish)and not only that a fairly small community(rpg maker seems to be most popular there too) so we have to scoure the web looking for resources and so on until we come to a fork in the road, "Hey, I'm dedicating all my manpower to supporting this specific maker but I have
a back list of other makers that have to be done too, so should I put my focus on support or translation which is the building blocks of our site" and that is where the problem lies.
If all this shit was already translated we would have fuck loads more time for videos and such as we promise but translating is not a breeze seeing the fact you actually have to fully understand how to use these fuckers before you can make a coherent translation for a new audience to pick up and learn, not just translate a few bits throw it in a zip and call it a day.
Most rpg maker sites don't have that problem because rpg maker is already there. Just post a link, throw up some forums, upload a few graphics and youre fucking done. our process is a bit more complicated
also doesn't help when most of our staff can't actually help you, cant get into contact with or plain just don't want(not everyone but you motherfuckers know who you are) to help which makes me feel most people saw rpg crisis a a potential up and coming, soon to be popular rpg maker site and people wanted to be mods for the power or notoriety and not the cause (well its not my site so this is where me and rick mostly clash)
But in all seriousness, I have grown to really fucking hate visual basic..
words cannot express the pain and frustration that goes into dealing with this vb6 bullshit
goddammit
fuck.
shit.

If you want to bring in Sim RPG Dating Sim Maker 5.2, wait until the primary makers have a substantial base of activity on the site.

Horrible horrible idea for a video game anyway... I really never imagined to see it having more than 10 downloads.
So focusing time on such minuscule and stupid things was a pretty large waste of time, imo.
Anyway. Sucks to see you go, Allen. I'll look you up on FB and see what you're getting into.
Long live metal.
