Hey guys just started using IG Maker and I am having an issue when I go to test my game. I followed this tutorial

Anyways the problem is my character flies off the screen when I go to play it. Sometimes he is already off the screen by the time the test loads. I have tried changing the gravity but it has no effect. I tried boxing him but he passes through the terrain. They are both on layer 1.

I am however using separate sprite sheets for the characters animation. One a piece for the walk, jump and idle animation cycles. I'm not sure if this effects it at all. The orientations are all set correctly etc. I believe that's the only thing I have different than what the guy in the tutorial did.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

lol, iv had this problem myself in thepast, it was always down to me forgettin to do somethin small, a few things could cause this, so heres a little check list

1- is the tile on the tileset set to all walls? your character will pass through if not
2-do your player characters animations have collision detection with tiles?
3-are you SURE everything is on the layer it should be?

Hey thanks for the quick response. For some reason my background tiles were jumbled around. Did some changing with what my character was going to be running on and that for some reason screwed up the collision detection. All is well now. I think I should stop trying to work till 4 am o_O.

thanks again for getting me in the right direction
