So heres an idea of the game Ive been working on. May not seem like much but Ive been working on it on and off for a few months, mainly the graphics.

Im pretty much done with the tiles etc so now Im starting on getting it to actually work. Might have been smarter to do all that first lol...

Summarized youre a cartoonish Dracula in Transylvania. The enemies are monsters who have revolted against you and its very similar in play to a Zelda type game.

I am really hoping to figure out a way to make you be able to take the form of myst for a limited time to pass through certain barred doors. Also take the form of a bat to cross crevices etc.

If anyone has ideas on how to effect the player gadget in ways similar to that I definitely need the advice lol. Would I need to use a gadget switch of some kind? Switches and memories I still havent quite gotten the hang of yet.

nice, graphics are very impressive and i like the concept/story.

as for your query about allowing the player gadget to transform into a state where it can pass through walls etc., i think it can be done, but i havent fully figure this out myself yet (although like you already guessed this would have to be done with swithes, im thinking you would have to make another set of animations without tile/other gadget collision and then make a new set of action programs for them within your player gadet and have it so an item on the menu turns on a switch which in turn switches your player gadget over to the new action programs, i wanted to do something similar with my action rpg simply so that you could change character at certain points in the story but havent got as far as doing it yet as im workin on my other game for now, im pretty sure this would be more difficult than it sounds and would probably be a tad buggy though )

Keep going with this game, i wanna play it

Thanks Red, I really do appreciate that.

lol yeah that does sound like a hassle but who knows. Im sure its possible through some kindof switch-wizardry. Time to just start experimenting I guess :\

lol, i was thinking about it and a really cheap way of doing it would be to have a link on either side of the obstacle which only work when a certain switch is turnedon... that would'nt be anywhere near as cool-looking as your mist idea, although you could maybe have the links take you to a seperate canvas inbetween where you see a little animation of him "going misty" ?

... you know, thats actually not a bad idea lol.

Thats pretty much what Id planned it to be for anyway. New areas or certain buildings.

Id imagined the mist form being tied to a cape he acquires as equipment, so maybe using it like a key once the button is pressed and turning on a switch to the certain doors.

I should probly just go the simplest route and worry more about how to actualy make the player gadget switch animations for the bat too.

not the best Originality, but you're doing great!

Here on Brazil I'm teaching kids about IGM, they are 9-13 years old and they are using my standard graphics made for Equilibrium.

Don't miss to update your post, if you keep it, we may Pin your game here!
