Intended as a remake of the original MegaMan on the NES, MegaMan Revolution is also an update on various aspects of the game to bring it closer to this generation of players while retaining the core gameplay that made it an original blockbuster.
Game Features
- Game built on the IG Maker engine;
- Reworked storyline that adds more modern elements as well as slight twists to the Blue Bomber's origins;
- Sprites from MegaMan ZX's Model X are used for MegaMan and other key characters;
- Familiar weapons are improved and slightly reworked to give them more than just 'another projectile' feel;
- Weapons also induce effects on certain enemies, some having weaknesses to certain kinds which makes them even more useful outside of boss battles;
- Remixed songs of classic MegaMan themes for stages, menus and gameplay;
- Game resolution of 320x240;
- Controller compatible (suggested for gameplay).
- Closest to the original game, controls and abilities are limited :
- MegaMan can run but not dash;
- Regular buster shots only;
- No E-Tanks;
- The ESCAPE system is completely disabled, meaning you can only leave a completed level by losing all your lives or reach the boss' room.
- Remix mode includes features found in the newer games :
- MegaMan can Dash using the Left and Right Trigger buttons;
- MegaMan can crouch pressing Down, reducing his hitbox and making him able to dodge high attacks;
- The M.E.G.A. Buster can be charged to fire more powerful shots;
- E-Tanks can be found throughout levels;
- The ESCAPE system allows to leave a completed level anytime;
- Collecting Weapon Cells with no special weapon equipped will restore some Weapon Energy of all weapons.
Current version of the game manual available as an attachment of this post (further versions will be made available as the game progresses. If the reception of the original MMR is good (and hopefully it will be once it's released), I might consider going through MegaMan 2 to 6 to give them a similar treatment.

=EDIT=
Currently, talents would be needed for to :
- Create animation spritesheets of the 6 main bosses to the MegaMan Zero/ZX style. Unless provided with such, I'll probably use the MegaMan Power Battle sprites; they'll do but they'd feel out of place given the upgrade.
- Same goes for the level sprites though I might actually do those myself
- Cutscene artwork to illustrate the story such as the intro and some key points of the game.
- (Already considering someone) Someone willing to create remixed versions of the original themes.
