Hello everyone!
I've been tossing around RPG Maker 2000/2003/XP in my spare time in the past, mostly drawing up a little projects for my personnal entertainment and testing out my imagination and creativity on those softwares. But a few days ago, I came across Indie Game Maker and decided to try and get something done to distribute for everyone to enjoy. I don't plan to sell the game as it contains material from the core game it's inspired from (namely, the MegaMan serie) but I'd like to do something that could be fun and plays like what you'd expect from a retail release.
Perhaps later I'll work on something I'll think of releasing but I'm not there yet. Anyhow, I'm canadian and my native language is actually french but prefer to use english over mediums like the Internet and software. Currently finishing a diploma in software programming (and those SAP / ABAP courses are hell, let me tell you), I do game making as a hobby like most people here, I guess. Looking forward to help and/or be helped by you gents and gals in the near or far future.

Thank you for the welcome!
Work on the game's going well :
- MegaMan's movements are done about 90% (only climbing remains and the use of ladders) as well as basic wall detection;
- Main HUD works, just need to create the weapon/status menu;
- Gonna need sprites for the bosses; probably gonna need custom made ones for the MMZX style of the game but otherwise, I'll be Power Battle sprites;
- Got one of my friends doing some music work... gonna wait for more of his songs to come out as he's more of a techno/dance kind of guy and I'm not sure the music he'll make will fit as good as I'd like;
- First part of Bomb Man's level done as a test level; still need custom level sprites (probably use the NES ones and add details to them to make them fit a 16/32-bit setting);
- Need to test enemy hit collision with buster shots as last time I tried, much earlier before, damage wouldn't register.
Also, is there a WIP section to this forums? I doubt this section is the best to post progress on a project and surely there must be an area to post updates and advertise the games being produced.
Thanks in advance.
