          Hello,

The problem comes from the SRPG95.bat file in the \Help folder, I made a mistake on the file path. I wont be able to update the installer until either late tonight or sometime tomorrow.

However, its an extremely easy fix, anyone should be able to fix it.

1.Create a new text document in notepad and copy/paste the following into it. Save the file as SRPG95.bat and overwrite the current SRPG95.bat in the \Help folder. When saving make sure "Save as type:" is set to "All Files" to properly save the .bat file.
          Spoiler

          2. Download the updated SRPG95.bat from the link below. It contains the code posted in the 1st option.
           SRPG95Bat.zip (575bytes)
          Number of downloads: 3

If you didn't install Simulation RPG Maker 95 in the default folder or run a 64bit version of windows you will need to edit SRPG95.bat. Right-click on it and either click edit or open and follow the instructions.

            Hi,

I joined this forum for two reasons.

First, I wanted to sincerely thank you for this in particular, as I've been hoping for a decent version of SRPG95 for a LONG time.

Secondly, I wanted to ask whether it's feasible that anyone will be able to patch the program to accept a better color range. It's very difficult to work with custom artwork under the limitations of the current system. How difficult would that be, is it possible?

Again, thanks very much for all the work you put into making this possible!

              Hello,

Glad my translation is helpful for you. I remember when I first used SRPG95 I was put off by the crappy translation.

As for your question, I don't believe its possible, at least by me. I can ask around but I think its a built in limitation. Though with the VALUE! version you think they were of updated that.

Okay, well, after some fiddling, I'm learning that the limitation is really not the end of the world. (:

The update isn't showing the colors of the facesets and other graphics currectly that I add no matter what I do. Even if I save the file as a bmp with 256 colors it still won't show the colors currectly. I posted this problem in the additional makers forum.
