Welcome to the RPG Crisis Community Forums

Hello there traveler!

They call me Norman the Expressionless and I was instructed to seek you out, the wanderer. You must be something special for them to hire me and come find out. I wonder what makes you so special; perhaps you have some super power and are destined to save the universe! Just kidding, they told me to find you because you have nice hair and they want to harvest it to create the perfect hair.

So yeah, you should totally join this fine community they’ve established here. Heck, if you need even more reasons I suppose I can list off a few of the perks.
  • Gain complete access to our Download, Tutorial/Script and Resource Databases.
  • Be a part of an ever expanding community and create your own legacy!
  • Get support for a wide range of maker programs, were experts on them all.
  • Discover your true purpose in life, maybe even become one with the force.
  • Make new friends, allies and enemies.
  • Participate in thoughtful, intelligent conversations aimed at expanding your mind.
  • Request translations for foreign maker related sites, games, scripts and tutorials.
I could keep listing all the awesome benefits and perks but why not discover them for yourself?

I hope I posted in the right section.

Hi EC, I tried making a new file in Character Maker. I encountered a problem where if I choose the setting:
RPG Maker 2003 - Charset, 16 Color Mode

The palette editor won't appear. This was after installing and having it on launch.

But after closing and reopening the program, it shows the palette editor now.
I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate. I just thought I'd let you know :3

Interesting, just tried myself and the palette appeared like normal. Does it do this every time you create a new image using those settings? I did notice that if you close the palette and then create a new image, the palette doesn't reappear but that's because it's still the same session.

It's possible that it's been set to hide. Try either clicking Display (V) then Color Palette (C ) or for Ctrl+3.

It only happened once after I installed it. Afterwards it works normally. It's probably a one time thing? I wasn't really sure what happened. I'm also not in aero mode if it makes a difference?

I also found some untranslated strings,

Bucket Tool -> check the drop down box with DR Col -> Japanese Text.
All Circle/Rectangle Shape Tool -> drop down boxes have JP text and whatever those 1 1 means XD
Line tool -> Japanese text everywhere and in drop down boxes.
Selection Tool -> everything is Japanese.

This happened when I click on the color palette and any of those options.

How do we exactly use the Rotate Tool (or the other option tools)? I tried every tool that allows it but I really see no difference?

I checked the display options and made sure all of them are checked (except ruler) but hmm. Thank you.
Er oops sorry, my internet exploded.

Funny thing, I had already translated these but forgot I had accidentally overwritten Character Maker Pro.exe with an older version losing these changes. Thanks for finding those, keep up the good work.

Pretty sure I got this, but you're talking about this right?

          Where are these located?

Also, feel free to suggest word replacement or suggestions if you think or find out something can be labeled more accurately.

If you click pen tool for example then click Edit -> Edit Tools you should see different options per tool over there.  Like some aren't affected while some are.

I'm pretty sure those options are mainly used with "Select Range" tool.

Not yet, I need to do a final look through then finalize the tooltips. I'll probably start on this sometime next week.

Sorry, been pretty busy with work and finals these past two weeks, I'll try and get it out before I leave on the 12th. I have done quite a bit of work on it and like I said last time I just need to finish finalizing some strings.
