Just like the title proposes, turns out Bleach is reaching the U.S. on September 9th. BUT unlike the mistake with Naruto, it seems that Viz made the smart choice and went with Cartoon Network's [Adult Swim]. Anywho, what kind of impact do you think this might have on the series?

There wasn't much adult material to begin with, so chances are that they'd most likely censor OR change words where the characters said F-U-C-K.

Its going to be more american oritented so expect "extra" dialoge thats not in the original japanese version. Besides even on Adult Swim a lot of the blood will be taken out.

Hopfully the voice acting it way better then the shitty naruto voice acting.

Well, I completely disagree on the blood thing though. I'm a very big adult swim fan...mainly because it's the only thing I can watch when I stay up late. ([sarcasm]THANK YOU DIRECT TV BASIC PACK[/sarcasm])

Compared to TV series like Paranoia Agent, and Samurai Champloo, I'd say that Bleach has a lot less blood, and most likely it'll all stay in there. And on the part of voice acting it should be good. Viz has a way of casting good voice actors (except for Naruto's case, where I'm pretty sure it was a good idea to hand it over to another company to stop from ruining their image).

And as always, I expect the extra, and usually, 'useless' dialogue.

Like with almost all anime, it will probably be worse dubbed than subtitled...
If anime didn't take so freaking long to download, I wouldn't even bother watching dubbed stuff at all.
I mean, who can name 5 dubbed anime that were actual good?

Really, if you ask me, I think Bleach has got a shitload of potential. I mean, which show with lesbians doesn't (If you don't know, Chizuru, and Soi Fong).

anyway i think they made a very smart choice by putting it on adult swim because most of the content will remain intact. hopefully no blood loss, still a little swearing...
