Hello Everyone,

At last we've finished, Phenie and I have spent the last few days working on our retail English patch and were finally done!

Crisis Crew Translations Present...

Action Game Maker Retail English Patch

Another release by our translation team! Only after days of receiving our copy of Action Game Maker we've released our English patch so that non-Japanese readers may finally enjoy Action Game Maker! This patch is a complete overhaul compared to our trial patch. While a lot of the wording remains the same we've went through and fixed up any translation problems we found and did a lot of rewording to make this patch even better.

Enjoy!

Download Patch
https://rpgcrisis.net/forums/index.php?auto...ail&f_id=89

If you've found any Translation Mistakes, Untranslated Words, Grammar/Spelling Mistakes or Cutoff Text. Post them in the following topic.
https://rpgcrisis.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=813

Remember, This patch will only work on the retail version of Action Game Maker.

Additional Information
- Were looking for user's willing to help with AGM related items like tutorials and resources. Please contact me if your interested.
- Anyone can host our patch so long as its the patch itself and not the patched files.
- This is for legitimate owners only, this patch will not work on cracked versions of Action Game Maker.

@Elemental Crisis great to hear that the patch is ready. BTW there won't be any cracked versions of AGM at least not until the program is released in English. ^^ This is due the fact that the crack groups don't bother to crack japanese or other software that's not in english. ^^

I really want the program, but I don't know if its worth actually buying it, when the English version is out.

Not necessarily true, I've already been linked and informed of at least 1 working crack for the retail version of AGM. Other then that I'm not saying anymore, good luck trying to find it on Google though.

And don't forget that every RM before XP were cracked and translated as well.

Anyway, I've been away for a bit (Forgot to make a leave topic), but now that business has been taken care of, I can finally resume my daily online activities biggrin.gif. By the way, I thought this was supposed to be released a few days ago?

@Elemental Crisis well there maybe is a crak somewhere out there but I'm saying that with the program being released in Japan first and in japanese the cracking groups won't notice it (or at least the chances of noticeing it are slim) since they keep a track over the English releases not the releases for each individual language. Plus if there is a crack it is useless without the program itself and you can get the program only by buying it for now. So there is no point of using this crack if you have the money to spend and just buy the program. ^^ I plan to buy it since from my experience I know that legal stuff usually works better. ^^

True, though I suppose its only a matter of time before we see it on the net.

If AGM comes on a CD/DVD, then you can bet that it'll eventually be uploaded. Right now, I'm just waiting for an announcement on whether if an official English version will be made or not. If it isn't announced by the end of April, I'll just have to raise the cash with paid to take surveys and import it.

The reason the date fell back partly cause i was testing it... checking for spelling and what not.. AGM is not easy to use..its a very professional like maker.. but they did get a lot right compared to other game making tools like GM or click and play or what not.

I already figured out how to do animations import things... AGM is very flexible.. but some things i feel could use a plug in... sadly we have to wait on EB to release the plugins..

A lot of graphics i made for AGM need to be redone....
I wont go into details.. a few small things disappointed me.. but wow.. people may like some things.. so far im only able to make platformers like classic mario.. or classic mega man.. i have yet to figure out how to do slopes and steps and such.
Its not easy, but this is a damn good maker, it has a learning curb.. but thats cause its not for simply just the casual game creators like the RM series is.. their is no scripting as far as i can tell.. but its not really needed.. its so flexible you dont need it.

So.. um.. yeah for those of you willing to throw down the money, its a good maker, better then GM or other makers.. but they could have taken some cues from other makers... but i have a feeling their are some more plug ins going to fix that later.. i cant figure out slopes yet.. i thought maybe it was done with paths.. but i dont know yet.. when i figure it all out i will let everyone know.. and yes i was quick and spent money on this lol... i had to.. EC is going to need my help.. i had to have the software or else im not much use and making things for AGM would be a pain.

As is im having to redo a lot of my graphics for AGM.. and add more things..

Im surprised i was not thanked for checking things over..

I put it in my ReadMe.txt at the bottom. It says "Testers: Liana and Random Hero". I'll double check the download, its possible I added the wrong ReadMe

EDIT:

Apparently I did upload an older version of the ReadMe.txt, its also missing a few Q/A I added. I'll re-upload the download with a current ReadMe.txt later on when I get home.

One thing that I want to know. Is it possible to write your own plugins? If so, what programming language do you need? I'll pick up any, as long as it's something that can be learned by reading books and/or tutorials on it.

So far no you cant, thats done by enterbrain, not you.. not anyone else.. unless someone finds a way around this..
i think the plug in thing was a way to keep people from doing just what ever they want with the maker and end up duplicating a copywriten engine of some kind.. or.. that is a theory i have.. so far it looks like EB holds the cards and we have to wait for them to deal them out.

Im looking right now and i dont see a way to insert your own plugins

You have to wait on EB to do them.. or hack AGM and add them.

@ Liana & PhantomH

I don't think so. I'm sure Enterbrain has a template they use for their plugins that allow the plugin to be used in AGM. If you try copying an existing plugin AGM gets an error when starting up when attempting to load the plugin. Most likely because its already loaded the original one. Maybe so savy Japanese developer will release a custom made plugin.

We do know that the exported games is coded in C#.

Its 3AM so double check my facts for me someone. smile.gif

If you can make your own plugins, it may be AGM's version of scripting.. something i was never good at or could understand cause my mind is a mind of an artists not a mind of a computer programmer lol.

Aw, I was hoping to be able to make a game that uses both the SHMUP and A-RPG system, sort of like Guardian Legends for the NES.

You can have your game use more then one plugin, that's not a problem.
