 IRC Channel?

I know that this doesn't really fit exactly in here because it doesn't deal with the forums, but I tried to look and could not figure out just where to put it, so move it as you see fit I suppose. Anyways, do you think it would be a good idea to have an IRC channel set up so the members here could all talk to each other? I already set one up, and I would be happy to transfer the rights over to you Elemental Crisis. If you want, here is the information for what I already hav eset up...
Server: irc.whahay.net Channel: #rpgcrisis Go ahead and check it out. Right now, I have it labeled as the unofficial IRC channel for RPGCrisis, but that could always change. Anyways, let's see what people think. I really do believe that this would be a good idea. |

IRC isisnt a bad idea, I dont know how popular it will be but i'll keep it in mind.

I suggest you use deltaanime. www.deltaanime.net It's what all the RO private servers use, very reliable host.

Atticus, there are much better servers out there than DeltaAnime, and Whahay. I chose Whahy because I know the people who run it, and it is a great server for something like RPGCrisis because it is reliable, almost all the users on there are using RPG Maker, and have other similar interests as the users here do, and the technical support is great if it is needed. One of the best servers out there right now would be FreeNode. I use it a lot, but there are too many users on there, there are many restrictions, and nobody really wants to help you out. I have never tried out DeltaAnime's servers, but I can almost with certainty say that Whahay would be one of the better choices for RPGCrisis. I have tried many IRC servers out there, and for what RPGCrisis is aiming for, Whahay is it.
But... this is all really my opinion. If you want, go and try out some of the channels on Whahay if you would like. Also, my channel is only an unofficial one. There is no official channel as of yet. If EC wants to have one, he can choose where to have it hosted. |

I have been on many channels on the Whahay server; unlike many other servers I have been on, it doesn’t lag. Good choice for RPG Crisis' starter channel.

My idea: how about not getting IRC at all unless RPG Crisis gets bigger. Really it would be very difficult getting a chat going on a channel owned by a very small community.

I forgot about this topic, lol.
Were not going to get an Offical IRC channel until this place gets bigger, we need more people if we want to have any conversations of any sort on a IRC channel. |
