What, Adsense On RPG Crisis Options

Hello Everyone,

I've recently setup our Google Adsense account for RPG Crisis. Now someone of you may be asking why we now have ads on the forums or why I did this. I'm hoping that in the long run the profits generated by the ads will help pay for RPG Crisis related services like server cost, domain name renewing, software...etc. It would be nice to have RPG Crisis pay for itself. However the main reason I've added these ads is to benefit you, the members. Additional profits earned by Google Adsense will be used as incentives for contests. The staff and I briefly touched on the idea of giving away actual prizes like online gift-cards, actual prizes you can use and not just some signature that says you won a contest. I'm not made of money and neither are the other staff members, with Google Adsense we'll be able to provide more for the community.

Also, I'm told it takes awhile for the ads to become somewhat relevant to the site, so for now please deal with the lawyer and crisis management ads.

The adds seem fairly relevant. Do you only get profit if the ad links are followed or just for showing them?

It's by clicking it, and what RPG Crisis receives per click depends on the popularity of the site. If there's an ad for an unpopular site, RPG Crisis doesn't get paid as much. If you click on a popular site's ad, RPG Crisis receives a higher amount of money.

It's usually 20 cents to about a dollar per click. Double clicking an ad in one day doesn't work because Google AdSense keeps track of IP addresses.

Not sure if this information is correct, but anyways, glad to see RPGC start to raise some money to pay for stuff.

I am just going to state that any user that sits down and just clicks the ads might be getting in trouble. Google will ban your IP from clicking on the ads and Elemental Crisis will receive a warning letter.

Not really, it's just a precaution against anyone looking to abuse the sytstem.
