This is the new Sacrilege topic. I posted on .net as well. So if you read it there it's the same.

Sacrilege is a game I have been making since I first learned of RM'ing. I can say that I have thousands of hours logged into the game and am working on what will be the last version. No starting over again.

In this new topic I will include the new screenshots, a small bio and some story elements. So, here goes.

I'm going for a more realistic and much darker look for this game. As it is adult themed I don't want any of the cutesy images and such usually associated with RMXP.

A little about the Characters.
Note: I will add to this section alot.

Jade is the hero? of the story. What can be said about him? He is a smartass. When Jade was a baby he was left in Cetnus village by a dis-hounored member of the Royal Guard. It was whispered that the man stole the infant from a Nobel family and dissapeared. Within a few days of the abduction the family itself was murdered, so it was decided that the infant Jade would remain in the care of the well respected family which Jade was dropped off upon. When Jade was 10 years old he and the child of a travelling merchant ventured into the cave just north of Cetnus village. When Jade did not return after one day and one night a search was conducted. He was found in the cave in a coma. To this day Jade has never told anyone what happened to him inside, and aside from a scar on his forehead everyone has pretty much forgotten the incident. Except Jade. Who became self centered. In his mind Jade is special, and above everyone else. Why? Well, I can't really say right now.

Bryant is Jades best friend and foster brother. Increasingly over the years he has watched Jade get in and out of trouble, and even done his share of covering for his friend. The one thing he can say about Jade is that he is incredibly loyal and strong. The problem is that throughout their youth Jade was the village bully and figured he answered to nobody. A good friend to anyone but you didn't want to cross him. As of late a rivalry has developed between him and the Truth brothers. Carlo and Maxis are regarded as town hero's for their strength and kindness. As a friend to them, Bryant is always playing devils advocate. And always wondering why.

CARLO TRUTH:

Carlo has grown up in Cetnus village with his brother Maxis and his Father. Now the two are considered the village hero's due to their strength and kindness. Somehow over the years Carlo, Maxis, and Jade have developed a unhealthy rivalry. Jade forever the outsider in Carlo and Maxis's minds. The four (Bryant, Carlo, Jade, and Maxis) are usually teamed up to deal with village problems such as forest creature and such. Simply because of the combined groups strength. This has led to some interesting situations though.

The World Of E'ath:

E'ath is a deeply religious world. The main bulk of the poulation follow the teachings of St. Alexander LePorte. The second son of God. St. Alex (as he is known) came to the world during the Xa'Rathian war and led humanity again into Gods graces. 150 years before the events of this game the world followed the Xzeedrewian teachings. The Xzeedrewian high priest Xa'Ratha enforced the vile practices on all the population of E'ath. Practices such as sacrificing your children for any wrongs commited against the teachings. If your child stole a loaf of bread because he was hungry it was your job to sacrifice them. And if you did not the entire family would parish. The idea was that the child would be re-born into the world without that sin. But, as the story goes... St. Alex was born unto us as a gift from the true lord by a virgin. He was the swift hand of God and led humanity to victory against the vile lords of Xzeedrew. He taught us that humanity had been tricked over 1000 years ago into following the false God. He told of a virus cured by Zxeedrewian majik, but that was created by the same Majik. ''The devil appeared as an angel sent to save humanity''
The end of the war brought only fear and mystery. As followers of the Xzeedrewian way spoke of their masters knollege of the lost war, and dissapearence into the night.


Well. That's it for now. I will say that this game is Mature. So anyone easily offended by language and images should steer clear. I will say that although this game is meant to shock-scare the player at times. It is more to make the player think. The story, backround, and history of this game has been well researched. This is NOT a game with a half baked story. (This is in responce to certain concerns that my game is all eye candy and no story). The game will include librarys with volumes of history for the player to explore. The research also adds some realism to the game. I can't say too much as I don't want to let the story out. But it is a little shocking. But in a good way.

The game consists of four chapters. However I will say that this game (Sacrilege is actually the third).

I hope to have a demo (about 1.5-2 hours) done real soon.

No. But I guess in the pic it kind of looks like it. It's a cut scene shot, so it's a little distorted. When you see him close up it doesn't really look like it.
