More than Melee and I thought Melee had a large variety comparing to the original SSB game on the 64.

This means that by the 5th or 6th game there will be more than 100 playable characters.

But the popular ones sometimes do. If Super Smash Bros gets to DS (which is a rumour) then who knows how many games there could be.

QUOTE (Tidus @ Jan 29 2008, 07:26 AM)
Well, okay. Glad to know you're an expert on delays. (IMG:https://rpgcrisis.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

It's not an issue of the importance of the delay. Sure, the delay may be necessary but that still doesn't make it good. What it boils down to is that Nintendo gave us a release date and isn't able to stick with it. What I don't understand is why release dates are given before they actually, oh, I dunno, test the damn game and make sure it, oh, you know, works. Nintendo made a mistake and we're paying for it.

No, I am not a guru. But those are two major factors in game delays.

Yes, importance of delay is an issue. It should always be taken into consideration, as testing does not always cover everything. This is why some companies do a cram session before the game is released to play through it for the final testing.
If the developer believes it's okay for release and delays the game, then it's their decision. They could have always released the game with whatever problem has caused the delay.

QUOTE (Tidus @ Jan 29 2008, 07:26 AM)
I should be grateful to Nintendo for making a promise and breaking it? I should be grateful that Nintendo's programmers made a boo-boo and have to spend a few months fixing it? Where's the logic in that?

Yes, you should be grateful. You should be grateful that Nintendo did not decide to can the project for whatever reason. As I've stated before, there are many a company that don't even go through with their projects, so you should consider yourself lucky that it's only a few months delay. Seriously, stop whining.

At any rate, there seems to have been speculation that Square Enix was the reason behind the delay. I'm not sure how true it is, or even if it's been debunked. Ponder on it.

9 More days people. (IMG:https://rpgcrisis.net/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Can't wait.

If you're interested, this guy here has a whole bunch of Brawl videos, including a 50 part SSE walkthrough, more than 200 songs from the game, and a bunch of random battles.
http://www.youtube.com/user/bdcool187

This game has an amazing soundtrack consisting of hundreds of songs. It's pretty sweet.

Also an update to my previous spoiler post:

Spoiler
I've heard that the original Flatzone stage is in Brawl, which makes sense because the other stage is known as Flatzone 2, and brings the stage count to 42. I'm not sure about this, as I haven't seen any vids/pics, but again, it does make sense.

Yeah, that kinda sucks.

Maybe GAME will do a similar tournament.

The GameStop one is pretty cool though, theres multiple rounds with the finals being at the Nintendo store in New York where the winner will walk away with a 50' Plasma TV, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, and every Nintendo game published on the Wii and DS.

Are Wii games region coded? I haven't heard anything about the UK release, so I'm tempted to import.
