Okay so basically, when i enter a battle it says stuff like..

"Character [][][][][]" instead of "Character entered battle!"
"Enemy [][][][][][]" instead of "Enemy Appeared!"
"Character [][][][][][]" instead of "Character attacked!"
"Character [][][][][]" instead of "Character won the battle!"

etc. etc.

does anybody know how to change/fix this?

Hello,

The square looking character are actually Japanese characters. Assuming you don't have "East Asian Language Support" installed thats the reason they show up as squares.

In order for me to help you more could you please answer the following questions?

1. Are you using the translated version or the official version.
2. If using the official version are you working on a project started on the translation version?
3. If using the translated version do you have "East Asian Language Support" installed?
4. If using the translated version have you tried using the translated blank project folder? (Link Below)

Actually, I just ended up figuring out the problem.

I just reinstalled the trial version, and it went away.

It may have been from an unoffical translated version, I kinda looked everywhere for a download of it and downloaded a bunch of stuff i didn't mean to.
