Just kidding, they told me to find you because you have nice hair and they want to harvest it to create the perfect hair.

So yeah, you should totally join this fine community they’ve established here. Heck, if you need even more reasons I suppose I can list off a few of the perks.
  • Gain complete access to our Download, Tutorial/Script and Resource Databases.
  • Be a part of an ever expanding community and create your own legacy!
  • Get support for a wide range of maker programs, were experts on them all.
  • Discover your true purpose in life, maybe even become one with the force.
  • Make new friends, allies and enemies.
  • Participate in thoughtful, intelligent conversations aimed at expanding your mind.
  • Request translations for foreign maker related sites, games, scripts and tutorials.
I could keep listing all the awesome benefits and perks but why not discover them for yourself?

I'm just wondering what browser everyone is using these days. I'm using Firefox but I'm considering switching to Chrome with each passing day. Firefox, in my opinion isn't the browser it once was. I recently had the pleasure of seeing it use 1GB of memory and kill my computer because I had 10 tabs open, no video or flash sites. Not to mention that it never properly closes and leave plugin-container.exe running until I open Task manager and it auto-closes right before I can close it.

Misread title as bowser

I use Firefox because it is so handy since it has loads of plugins and apps... I do have an issue with it becoming a bit laggy although it's been responding fine lately.  I believe alot of the issues with memories holes are disappearing now, but when I have 10GB of RAM free (after Windows and other things have tapped into it) there isn't that issue of running out of RAM... plus I'm not sure if other browsers let me change the cache location.  Firefox does.

EDIT: Lethface did just remind me that I whilst I use Firefox as my main browser, I do have them all installed (including the Lynx text only web browser) just to ensure that any websites I create do appear exactly (or as close to possible) as I intend.  Not that bothered about matching validation though aslong as it displays properly, although the only reason it fails validation is because I wrap an tag around a
or a because it's the only way without using JS to turn an entire div into a fully functioning link.  The other, valid method is flawed... it puts text above the link so depending on where the cursor is you cannot click it sometimes.

I typically use Firefox for working and use Chrome for personal use.
There's some pretty cool add-ons for looking at code on Firefox, but I like the look and feel of Chrome a little more.

How did Firefox kill your computer?

I use Chrome for my normal internet use. Facebook, Youtube, Swagbucks, NBA, etc.

I use Opera for my porn download use. Opera is great for downloading.

      1. a Chromium based browser called SRWare Iron that I use as my all-the-time browser
      2. Chrome itself because I never uninstalled it after switching to Iron
      3. Firefox because of a few add-ons I occasionally rely on, as well as certain site incompatibilities for Iron/Chrome
      4. Internet Explorer, mostly so I know what to tell my relatives when they ask "Ok, so what do I click to do ____ on the internets?" along with my favorite: "Should I single click or double click? Wait, right or left click??"
      5. Opera. Safari. Not sure how it got on here, probably when I installed iTunes, but it's there. I don't actually use it, though. (edit: Also not sure how I mistook Safari for Opera. Just goes to show how much I've used it...)

And I use Maxthon whenever Android is involved. I thought the Kindle Fire's "Silk" browser was passably decent until I tried Maxthon and felt like I was reliving childhood memories of switching away from IE.

It didn't literally kill my computer. that would suck. I was just amazed that it was using 1GB of memory on simple text based webpages.

I`ve been using Opera for years. I wanted to get away from IE at some point, and Opera was the first browser I downloaded and liked.
No other reason for it. It`s just a matter of personal preference now.

I pretty much use everything I can find--even if I don't really need all of them.  I just like playing with the different browsers.  Maxthon, Opera, NEVER INTERNET EXPLORER OMG THAT IS GARBAGE, Aurora, Chrome, Iron, and a few foreign browers of which the name I can't spell in English.

I want to try other browsers but I use firefox because foxes are my favorite animal so I enjoy the firefox logo and name O_o That's really the main reason. The adblockers are nice too although I'm sure you can find them on other browsers. I don't like change but since Google is getting rid of iGoogle in a few months I'll be changing my whole internet experience anyway. Might as well change everything.

I'm pretty down about iGoogle being discontinued, too. I use the moon phase, weather, to-do list and Gmail gadgets and I've got a cool 8-bit theme on there. Gonna have to find a new way to get a quick check on the forecast before I head out for the day... Never been a fan of WeatherBug.

All browsers use a different standard for loading some pages.  Opera has always given me trouble viewing some pages.  Some websites don't bother with cross-browser compatibility.

If it is anything to do with being unable to actually load the page, it might be time to clear your cache, delete temporary files and browsing history and set the browser's settings to default.

You know what the biggest use of Internet Explorer is? Downloading other browsers lol.

I use Firefox as a primary, Chrome as a back up or if I'm not plugged into a wall on my laptop. Firefox eats battery power. No joke.
