I am still getting Runtime Error 429 when I run the program after moving the files into the folder. Is there anything further i need to do that I am missing?

are you running as administator? are you sure you have pasted just the files in the folder not the folder itself into the main 3drpge directory?

I am running as admin, and copied the contents of the folder. The "Redist" folder has me confused, do I do anything with it? or is it to be left alone (which is what I've done so far)

alright this is what i want you to do:

Take this bat file(extract from zip file) and place it in THE SAME DIRECTORY AS THE FILES and run it (as admin ofcourse) and follow the instructions and tell me if that fixed it

tried fresh reinstall, added the files from the fix above, added the .bat file to the directory, and ran it as administrator, but still recieved the same error in the above screen shot. if this is frustrating you I understand, it is me as well. I really want this to work...

It fustrating because on all the computers i tested it on im getting a completely different error, there is a work around by using the tactics 4 installer but I was hoping using this method was more pratical (and would work) i will post a tutorial on using the installer anyways

Grabbed a copy, placed it in the directory and get the following error.

im not talking about the engine, I already posted the dll required to run games, the reason you are getting that /data/ error is because thats where the game files are stored when you compile it.

Here is the alternate way to install the proper runtime files for the edtior to run in windows 7:

We will be using the tactics3v2 installer (aka tactics 4) because tactics and 3drpge use the same runtime files and registers ones that were discarded  with windows 7

first you will need the installer, I have included it in attachments  tcv2.zip   39.99K   7 downloads

unzip the file and run tcv2.msi anywhere (as admin)

you will be brought to this window (yours may be garbage but it may not be depending on your setting)
                 step1.png   34.21K   4 downloads
This is basically telling you where it will install, you can click which harddive you install to and the directory, none of this is important so click the next button

Afterwards you will be brought to a new window where a progress bar will be show and will install, after installation is completed you will get this window

                 step3.png   25.14K   4 downloads

This basically tells you it finished installing click the button to close the installer

If installed properly you should now have the system files needed and the editor should run

i ran the installer attached to previous post. Its giving me an error that I can ignore, and one more, which I cannot bypass, and then the install fails.

Also, for reasons unknown, I cannot run it as administrator, when I am on the administrator profile

                Screenshots attached.

Worked like a charm. I can run 3D. However, when I try to start the design process I get an "Invalid procedure call or argument (5)" error.

it does this whenever I click Game Settings, Class, Skills, Equipment, Items, Party and Scene.

Clicking Animation gives a Runtime Error 5 (same as the above error, but closes the program.)

Clicking Enemy gives a Runtime Error 380 "Invalid Property Value" (closes program)

Clicking Map Editor gives a combination of the Animation and Enemy errors, but does not close program.

All other buttons seem to function normally. If this is improperly placed, can this be moved to the support for the actual editor?

I did manage to find the region changer. However, instead of making it work, the errors now come up in all ??? marks. might be because I couldn't find the first part of everything (to install the native language settings, i think...) but I don't know, i'm out of my league here

in windows 7 on region and langauge window its under the administration tab, click the button "Change system Locale", select Japanese(Japan),

click apply it will either download the needed files(they can be found on microsoft webiste if you dont have a cd), ask for your windows cd,or will already have them installed and will ask you after installation to restart your system.

Restart your system and go back to the region and language window go to the format tab and under format click japanese (japan) and click apply you should see your time and date structure change.
