Which are you favorite music that you heard in the gamesyou always play?
Myself I like the MSG2 and 3 intro music. In MSG2 you hear it before you start the game.

The Metal Gear series has some well composed music. My favorite video game composer is Nobuo Uematsu from the Final Fantasy series. His work is amazing in every way. Anything that comes from Square usually has top of the line music.

FFX is a decent game. If you compare it to other Final Fantasy games it's not as good, but people seem to treat it like it's satanic. FFX has wonderful music, though, you can't deny that.

FFX is not a decent game. It has the worst battle system I ever seen. I didn't like the story but it was because Tidus was so gay, but I liked the ending, something mostly everyone hated.

Please explain. Aside from being able to switch party members during battle, the battle system isn't unlike any of the other Final Fantasy games.

The main reason I didn't like FFX is because I couldn't stand Tidus. I want to play it with japaneese voices because he sounds much less annoying in japaneese (imho). >_<;
Mmmh I'm curious on what's so annoying about the battle system, too.
Anyways. Square has fantastic music for their games. <3 Yay for that.

I hate American dubs
period. They never compete with the original Japanese dubs, and most of the time they choose the worst voice actors possible. I buy a lot of imports.

The battle system makes it too easy to kill a boss. I the only time I lost was against the father of Tidus and after i got Anima, it was simple to defeat him. Plus it is very boring....
Easy bosses doesn't put the battle system at fault. It puts the enemy at fault. They made the enemies far too easy, I agree, but you can't blame it on the battle system. "Plus it is very boring..." doesn't say anything.
The Kingdom Hearts II soundtrack is amazing, btw.

Want to know what exactly I didn't like about the battle system? The action is to slow. I could actually just let the game for a day and my characters culd still be alive. IN FFIX for example do that and you'll be killed....

Most RPGs are like that, my friend. That's what a turn based battle system is like.

Yes, that is why I hate most RPG's. I prefer games like Kingdom hearts, PS1 FF and games like that where at least you are thinking under pressure....

If you think FFX characters look gay and they sound it take a look at FFXII.
I liked FFX I however HATED FFX-2.

What I mean by gay, I mean like almost shit or weak. We latins think that gay people are weak so we used them as an example of weakness, as I did with FFX. I think FFX is a weak game with great music nonetheless.

How can you say that gay people are weak? >_<;
Ahem.. back on topic.
The Chrono Cross soundtrack is very beautiful. Then again, it's another Square title so why be suprised =P
The intro song to Legend of Mana is in Swedish... so I can't take it seriously, despite the game being Square and all..
The rest of the music in the game is really good, though. ^^
So what do you guys think makes a good theme song for a game, then? And what makes a good battle song?
I'd say it's got alot to do with atmosphere. Yah. And composition, of course. But sometimes it doesn't matter if the music's good.. if it doesn't suit the game it will sound terribly out of place, and will probably not be recieved as a very good song. I love when they have calm music in some battles, like they do in FFVII sometimes. It adds alot to the feeling, and enhances the emotions of that fight. If the battle song is to up-beat and happy I'll get crazy. I really didn't like the music in Grandia... it grabbed way to much attention with the quirky drums and stuff. A BGM has to be a BGM if you know what I mean

Yah I figured that's the post you were referring too but I still don't get where I wrote anything about music having to sound like beethoven.
If you point out what sentence/s it is I'll give you an explanation.
I know my writings can be a bit confusing to anyone but me at times. Hehe.

But just because it's atmospheric and well composed doesn't mean it have to be classical music, hihi.

True, true ^^
Has anyone played Castlevania - Symphony of the night? (Funny I should bring up a game title with the word "symphony" in it now. Haha.)
I've heard the music is absolutely wonderful in that game. And well, considering that Mana from Malice Mizer and Moi Dix Mois made the music (as far as I've heard, anyways), that's probably true.
And I love the Morrowind soundtrack. Then again, I'm biased, because I'm a tremendous Morrowind addict =P
