You will need to use something like this to run 3D RPG Editor on Vista.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VMware_Workstation

However this is a free tool by Microsoft called Virtual PC 2007, give it a shot.

I have a Laptop running Vista Premium 64-Bit Edition, I'll give this a shot later on in the week.

Wait, did 3D RPG Editor cause your computer to crash or was it something else?

yea it is, im trying to figure out how to network with it so i can transfer the 3D rpg editor from vista or download it in the virtual xp, my comp is powerfull enough i am currently emulating xp and 98.

current system stats

Model/Make: ASUS X52S
OS: windows vista 32BIT home premium
Virtual PC 1: Windows XP SP3 Home Edition
Virtual PC 2: Windows 98 Second Edition
RAM: 2GB
Virtual RAM: 24GB
HDD 250GB
Graphics Card: NVIDIA Gforce 8400M G Forceware
SoundCard: Realtek HD Audio
Processors: Intel Duo Core 2GHz x2

maybe later on ill try emulating linux OS and 95 but want to get xp and 98 going first under networking

i think its powerfull enough, so now to setup the network so i can try the 3d rpg editor
UPDATE: installed 3D rpg editor and still doesnt work

Run this.

https://rpgcrisis.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=147

It bypasses the security protection in 3D RPG Editor

Last time I installed 3D RPG Editor it worked fine, so I'm going to uninstall and reinstall. I'll document all my steps and post what I do.

EDIT:
Make sure once installed you've changed your region settings to Japan.

Make sure you've updated to 1.6 as well.
