I think that we should need a permission to post ressources, or other wise people will post
Uneeded stuff and end up all messy and hard to search in.

I know that I sound strict, but its just to stop spamers and useless ressource topic.

I think resources should be organized in "packs", created by the uploader.
It's much more organized, and allows people to sift through the stuff they really want. Someone doing a sci-fi game can cheerfully ignore the DBZ char kits and vice versa.

I side with keitsukun on this one, resources should be something left to more advanced members along with tutorials. Both are important aspects of the site that shouldn't be allowed to clutter the boards with useless guides. Perhaps lesser members such as myself could bring forward something to be used in such a degree, but they would first need to submit their work to staff and those that were deemed an asset by the staff would be posted.

After a quick swing around the site, I packed up a of what-to-improve list

-A bigger upload limit
For BIG games.

-A section to get the IMG code for ressources
no one like to create an acount on photobucket, log in, upload the image, get the IMG code and finaly post it.

-A Nicer looking Ressource section
I wont hide it, it looks rad.

-2 labels for ressources; from games and original creation
So if someone wants something original or from a game, He'll know where to search.

-2 Label for projects; in progress and Released
No need to explain why do I?

-A section for starter kits
Nothing is nicer than having a big juicy list of games thats availble for you to create.

The second point can be very easily remedied, either use the uploader when you make a post (by choosing what you want to upload, hitting the upload button, and then selecting the green plus icon in the manage attachments dropdown box), or use an uploader that doesnt require you to log in, which is why I never use photobucket, use a service like imageshack.

HostGator's shared upload limit is 64 MB

http://rhost.us/i/ gives you the [img] code without signing up

The others sound good

Use Mediafire, Rodcats, Megaupload or Rapidshare. I hate it when people complain about the forum's uploader.

Use Imageshack, ServIMG or FreeImageHosting.net. Also, most aftermarket browsers let you right click and copy the image URL/code/location.

Agreeing with ya there.

Uhrm, I didn't quite understand that...

Subforums. One word can answer one question. Amazing, eh?

Maybe some people don't want to purchase a serverand pay monthly fees for the server, hosting and domain names only to upload files to.

Sounds like a bit of advertising here... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)
At least tell us what /i/ is. You're making it sound like a 4chan ripoff instead of what it is - and I'm not sure of what it really is... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

1. What? I said Elemental Crisis cannot raise this 64 MB upload... Nor can I... Or anyone else on shared hosting...
2. How am I advertising? Just because it is my site? No. I am simply stating that www.rhost.com/i is a site that you can get [img] tags for images. And if anyone could use common sense anymore they could read what I am replying to or click on the link to see what I am talking about...

Your not supposed to attach your game to your post, upload it using our download system.

A lot of whats been suggested has already been flagged for change, its part of the "New RPG Crisis".

I would like for us to have more messages. 50 messages can pill up quickly. Plus you know the rest of my ideas for another topic. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)
