Since chrono trigger battles were pretty much based on the map which the enemies have roamed, would agm(Currently) be able to create such a system? Or would it require a coding engine, which we all know undoubtedly coming unofficially or officially by Enterbrain.

The hardest parts would be.

- Party member system
- Catipillar system
- Different battle menus for individual party members
- Individual Magic/Attack menus for party members

The easy parts(Hopefully) are.

- Clock(Play Time)
- Save/Load
- Inventory
- Menu(Excluding party members, dunno if it's possible yet)

I have to agree, it would be extremely hard to create a battle system like the one in Chrono Trigger in AGM. Maybe even impossible.

However, everything on the hard list is something I could do except the part member system.

I wouldn't say impossible, due to agms plugin capabilities, which would include scripting soon.

Your basing your response of the assumption that EB will release a plugin introducing a scripting feature. EB hasint even released any information in regards to additional plugins yet.

I doubt anyone will make a plugin to read codes if it's even remotely a possibility that EB will make one officially.

what is the point to this, no one has made a game yet with AGM, a real game.
we are speculating on how hard it is going to be to do these things,
and yes they are going to be hard but it is easier then scripting it all.
From what I've learned from E.C. you can make the game then export it to XNA Framework then edit the game's code using Microsoft Visual C# Express Edition.
And the question of using a third party plug-ins is will they work if you export to XNA and Flash format?
EPIC! is no were to being done yet.
So, I say lets make some games first.
How can we try to exceed the game engine whit out making game.

I've used the XNA export, it's pretty good. Wish I could, re-import though.
