Sorry about the download problems, were still trying to work it out.
As for whats better it depends on what type of SRPG game you want to make. SRPG95 will allow you to make Fire Eblem like games in a 2D format. its easy to learn and use. TRPGE will allow you to make games like Final Fantasy Tactics in a isometric format. Its more advanced then SRPG95 but harder to learn. If I remember correctly its not hard to add custom resources.

I don't have any, I'll see if Megaman does, why not just look in the manual or play one of the sample games it comes with?
