Terribly sorry to bog down this thread with yet another difficulty concerning the installation, but it -appears- that I get an error whenever I attempt to run the installation, specifically 'Error 1324'. I'm curious to know if anyone else has come across this obstacle, and if anyone has any advice concerning what course of action I could/should take.

Many thanks, and sorry for the trouble.

Reattempted the download twice this morning. To no avail, unfortunately. I'm really not quite sure what the problem could be. I'll attempt to find solutions with that trusty aide, Google, but any further support here would be greatly appreciated.

For someone making a Tactical/Strategy RPG, which program is advised? SRPG or TRPGE?

Edit: Nevermind, having the same problems as other people and can't download it. Firefox or Internet explorer, save or open. For both of them, and I have the slowest dial-up possible, so, meh.

Sorry about the download problems, were still trying to work it out.

As for whats better it depends on what type of SRPG game you want to make.

SRPG95 will allow you to make Fire Eblem like games in a 2D format. its easy to learn and use.

TRPGE will allow you to make games like Final Fantasy Tactics in a isometric format. Its more advanced then SRPG95 but harder to learn.

I suggest trying out both programs to make your decision.

It's probably my internet, I download at 3.0kbps. Your server probably can't transfer that slow and thus stops the connection, or something like that.

Thanks for the advice anyways. I think I'll just stick with trying to get SPRG for now.

Took me forever to figure out, but I did something that allows it to be COMPLETELY downloaded with FireFox.
I forget what version I'm using but I just went:
Tools > Options
Then under Advanced, click the Network tab, change the 'offline storage' to something suitable.

Really can't wait until I'm not a newbie so I can download this. Is there good support for adding character images?

I don't have any, I'll see if Megaman does, why not just look in the manual or play one of the sample games it comes with?
