This forum has not been very active since last summer. Crisis 2.0 will not be successful unless this place starts to pick up. People already see how little activity is going on. People need to see a site having some activity to at least post a few times. Regardless of our posts being deleted when the new site comes, we can always make new topics, and recreate project topics.

Crisis 2.0 cannot live with this lack of activity.

Yeah, the inactivity has been annoying. Always seeing that yellow error box thing when I check for new posts. We need activity, Kojima commands it.

This has been something I've noticed as well and something I want to fix. I've outlined some possibilities for a temporary solution until we launch RPGC 2.0, mainly going ahead with all the additional changes that are to accompany RPGC 2.0 minus the actual site. If this happens its going to happen real soon, just need to check some things before I do anything.

Quality > Quantity
Activity is overrated... People need to focus on the quality of their threads and replies, and maybe people will feel inclined to participate in a worthwhile discussion. It's rewarding for this site's forums in the end of the day to hold an inactive but interesting discussion. However, one of the only reasons this site even got some activity was because of all the hotheaded drama that took place.

I don't think the time of year really has anything to do with it. From what I've seen, all RM sites have been suffering. RPG making isn't as popular as it used to be a year or two ago, and the amount of finished games is also becoming more scarce. I've actually switched over to Game Maker and started playing around with that, to see what else I can do, since the GM community seems to be bigger than the RM community.

I disagree. RM communities such as RPG Maker Revolution, RMVX.net, rpgmaker.net, HBGames, RMXP Unlimited, and Ultima Island are still alive and thriving.

*old man voice* Kids these days don't have the patience to start and finish a game. They play around for a bit, then lose interest. No passion.
As for me, I make RPGs in the snow, uphill both ways.
