Sir, I just began receiving Remote Procedure-related errors on the program, I even remember that it was a Code 5.

Thanks megaman I have been searching for something like this for 3-4 years. blink.gif .. or whenever i found out that simrpg was irritating.
I do have a problem getting the program to work since whenever i start it, it tells me that there is a boot error, and that activex component cannot creat object: 429.
I looked this thorugh in the net and found that i should install vb6.
After doing so the problem still persists. sad.gif
could you help me with this?

i am using vista and that might be causing the problem.

just close the dialoge and the editor should open

I'm having trouble with it too. It says boot error and then it gives an error box saying "Component 'comdlg32.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid: 339

This is because either you dont have the runtime files installed for visual basic 6 or the component is missing, either

Component MSCOMCTL.OCX or one of its dependencies not currently registered ...

Sometime certain Microsoft Libraries can become unregistered when installing and uninstalling a lot of software. One very common problem is the MSCOMCTL.OCX.

To correct the error, first search your drive for MSCOMCTL.OCX to see if you have it. If not you can download it from HERE

The file should be placed in your C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory. Or, if you are C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 if you are using WinXP.

Once it is there click START--> RUN and type "REGSVR32 MSCOMCTL.OCX" (No quotes) in the box.

                                That should fix the problem.

just replace MSCOMCTL.OCX with the missing OCX file and it should work

Has anybody uploaded it somewhere else? The download breaks when it gets to around 100 KB.

I just did a download test and was able to download this fine. Downloaded completed with no problems and the speed was around 650 kbps.

Let me see if I can help you. Can you post exactly what happens? Does it just stop? Do you get some kind of error message...etc. The more details we have the better we can assist you.

                                    Try the following things.

                                    Clear your Temporary internet files.
Check your firewall settings, maybe something is preventing you from either downloading from RPG Crisis or downloading in general.
Try turning off your firewall and downloading.
If your using an anti-virus software that automatically scans all downloaded files and deletes/quarantines them if found suspicious change your settings so that it has to ask you before doing anything.
Even though I don't think this will do anything try clearing your cookies. Who knows, maybe the problem is due to having a misconfiguration that's somehow messing the download up.

Well, the download starts normally, but around 8 seconds pass and it says "Download finished" I've tried using DownThemAll (The Firefox Extension) and a Downloader program called Orbit, same result, neither worked. Oh and I'm on dial-up, that could be the cause.

                                      Try the following things.

                                      *Clear your Temporary internet files.
*Check your firewall settings, maybe something is preventing you from either downloading from RPG Crisis or downloading in general.
*Try turning off your firewall and downloading.
*If your using an anti-virus software that automatically scans all downloaded files and deletes/quarantines them if found suspicious change your settings so that it has to ask you before doing anything.
*Even though I don't think this will do anything try clearing your cookies. Who knows, maybe the problem is due to having a misconfiguration that's somehow messing the download up.
Nope nothing worked, I'll tell a friend with high speed to download it for me, should have thought of that before.
Edit: Oh and I downloaded 3D RPG Editor with no problem at all.
Edit 2: Well, I got a friend to download it and email it to me.

Re-download, your getting that error because the download didn't finish.

I've had a couple reports about downloads not downloading the entire file. I'll be looking into this error to see what I can do to fix it.
